The Aggie Ring is the coveted possession of all former students at Texas A&M University. I remember the day that I went to pick up my ring. I was sliding around in my senior boots and showing off my new piece of gold. Not any piece of gold, but Aggie Gold! I had a test the next day, so I could not partake in the tradition of dunking my ring in a pitcher of beer, because I had to study. So I decided to find something non-alcoholic with a Texas flair. I looked in the fridge and I had a bottle of Pace Picante Sauce. I figured that seemed like a manly drink, after all, I love Picante sauce. I slugged down the bottle of picante sauce and captured my ring with my mouth. I got part of the experience of getting to dunk my ring. But the part I will never forget is how I felt the rest of the night. I had no issues staying awake to study, but I will forever remember the lesson learned that night. In retrospect, I should have waited until the night after my test and properly dunked my ring, but it made a good story to tell.
