Abner's wharf, currently refered to as Glen's Lobster wharf is where many of the lobster boats moored in Mackerel Cove sell their catch. This wharf has withstood the test of time, though it has had a few upgrades since this photo was taken. If you were to visit Mackerel Cove now you would see in it's place a large red barn with a sign on the side reading Glen's Lobsters. Mackerel Cove Has a beach spans several hundred yards and tends to bring in people from all over that enjoy the sun while watching the local fishermen bring in their daily catch. If you have never been to Mackerel Cove on Bailey Island I suggest on your next trip to Maine you make Mackerel cove one of your stops. The picturesque fishing village is worth the ride down from Brunswick.
