As an artist, you dream of having your artwork permanently collected and exhibited in private and public places such as: homes, city halls, private buildings, banks, galleries, universities, anywhere in NYC and the coup de grâce…a museum!
One of those dreams came true in late October, 2017 when I delivered thirteen pieces of artwork which represented the City of Bowling Green, my hometown! Today, these art pieces adorn the halls of the Department of Human Resources located in the City Hall Building on College St. in downtown Bowling Green, KY.
Before I began this project, I juried an art show in Tennessee which included artwork created with alcohol ink medium. I was blown away by the uniqueness and texture of the ink on the paper. Later, I played with the ink in my studio and it was so much fun! I knew I would submit some pieces of artwork created with alcohol ink for the BGKY H.R. project.
Since the HR dept. revolves across several different workforces, the subject of my paintings feature fireman, police, parks & recreation, public works etc. This is one of those pieces…
