A Scrim is a thin flow of water over a flat surface. It could be part of a wall or sidewalk, or in this instance a flat stream of water in the courtyard of an art museum in Washington, DC. The water sculpture has a nice touch of simplicity and elegance, except for those times when a person steps into a scrim, as I first did when encountering this one in a courtyard, and falls flat on their ass.
