Description
This mixed media holiday image is the perfect cheery greeting for a Christmas card or other gift items.
It is a mixed media image because it combines both one of my photographs and digital illustrations. The background is a photograph of the wide plank wooden floor of what was once a stable on the grounds of a friend's 18th century home. You can see the beautiful patina from over a century of use, giving this image its rustic feel.
I then designed several ornaments based on traditional designs using the magic of Photoshop, working with a color palette of red and green accented with warm gold and the beautiful silver gray patine of the weathered wood.
For my British fans, I have also designed a version that says " Happy Christmas " as well another one that says " Happy Holidays " and square versions that work well on holiday pillows.
