Description

A female Anna’s hummingbird (Calypte anna) visits Grevillea blossoms in the front yard.

The leaf looks as if it is reaching out, tickling the bird's throat.

I felt the Holy Spirit’s prompt to write: God’s beauty is all around us. We just need to slo-o-o-o-w down our thinking patterns, look...and think on His goodness.

When life gives us “pauses” from the busyness of our schedules, we can use this time as a valuable impetus to meditate on the Word of God.

A verse in the Bible that comes to mind is Romans 8:28; here it is in the popular Passion Translation (TPT) :: "So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose."

Let us pause and ponder ~ perhaps the Creator of the universe is allowing challenging situations to develop His "goods" in each of our hearts: agape love, patience, character, integrity, virtue and dependence on HIM as our Source.

Indeed, He is Jehovah Jireh, The God Who provides for our needs, just as He is doing for this sweet hummingbird:

"I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!"

Artwork notes:

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help".
