Did you know? Hydrangea Day is celebrated on the 5th of January every year. ( according to www.theflowerexpert.com) I can certainly understand these wonderful plants having a special day all on their own to be celebrated for the beauty they bring so many of us in our gardens! I think there is beauty in every stage of these delicate blossoms, from the tiny folded packages waiting to be opened, to the soft greenish baby blooms to the pure white of each floret. Many people continue to enjoy their beauty after the flowers have died and are dried accents for their home.

Truthfully, sitting inside on a cold March day in Ohio, I just want to look at this picture and pretend it is warm outside and these flowers are blooming in my yard once again!
