Pt Reyes National Seashore

Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
Pt. Reyes National Seashore is roughly one and a half hours north of San Francisco. It could be a whole other world as far as environment, population, and attitude.
This is beach is on the northern shore of Pt. Reyes. To get there from San Francisco you would drive north out of the city. Once you cross the Golden Gate Bridge things start to change. The population density starts to thin out and things seem to be less hurried. Once you get off of Hwy 101 and head towards the coast you do enter a land that looks as if time stood still. Farm houses and ranches replace subdivisions and the hills are not littered with condos and mansions.
To get to this particular beach you drive north along the west side of Tomales Bay. Many people drive out to the famous Pt. Reyes lighthouse, to get to this beach you need to take a right turn on the way out and drive a few miles. There are a number of parking spaces near the ocean but they are all a good hike down to the beach.
