Thanks, Peggy. It seems like a lot has been done to make the lighthouse attractive and more accessible to visitors. I was the only one wandering around, and yet a man from the well-stocked gift shop came out to greet me!

This is a perfect image, Ann! It is a habit to always look at this lighthouse when I am crossing the border into Port Huron. I will have to drive to it again one of these days, because as you said in another comment, the last time I was close it was not in the best condition.

Thank you very much for your complimentary response, Lianne. The last time I saw this lighthouse the red brick could be seen in many places beneath pealing paint. I understand that many of the bricks were loose. They now have been repaired and a fresh coat of paint has been applied.
