Return to Freedom is dedicated to preserving the freedom, diversity, and habitat of America's wild horses through sanctuary, education, and conservation, while enriching the human spirit through direct experience with the natural world.
The sanctuary is located just South of Lompoc California in Santa Barbara County, California. It about a one hour drive north of the City of Santa Barbara.
The sanctuary has garnered entertainment celebrities Robert Redford and Carole King. Both have visited the facility and have be active in fundraising.
They are currently home to about 350 horses. The are also actively involved in the adopt the horse program.
