Description
In Yarmouth Maine there used to be a corner pharmacy we all called Vaughan's. It was the place where we all went for our medications that our town doctor prescribed for all our ailments. The store has been closed for many many years and now the building is an oriental rug shop. Just recently, the man who owns the building, had to have his sign replaced, and low and behold, this sign was still underneath. It has created quite a stir in our town because it has brought back so many memories to our town folk. My mother remembers going to Vaughan's to get a milk shake or a root beer float. When I was born, she would buy some of my baby cloths here. As a child, I remember going to Vaughan,s to get my prescriptions in the middle of the night. That's the kind of store it was. They would open in the middle of the night to get medicine to sick and ailing children. So I decided this photo needed to be taken and the memories might continue for years to come! Enjoy!

Love these old advertising signs, and the black-and-white looks great.

Hi Jon, Thank you so much! It will be covered up again soon, which makes me so sad.
