Autumn was definitely in the air when I was visiting Osbornedale State Park in Derby Connecticut, one October day.These two friendly Canada Goose looked like they were enjoying themselves.
Canada Goose - Believe it or not, these birds were once not very common. They adapted to the change of environment very well. A fun fact is that they decrease in size the further North you go. The smallest subspecies is found in the Artic. Will feed on insects, seeds and aquatic plants and I have seen them eat many lawns, including my own!
