I have been a painter most of my life, in between raising children and a 9-5 job.   I love the process of painting.   Squeezing the paint onto my palette.   Getting the canvas toned or gessoed.   The mixing of colors.   The brush skipping colors across the surface.   All of it I love.   But the light falling across any subject is the real excitement.   I love to paint all subjects and I'm not necessarily a narrative painter.   If a painting is simply beautiful or happy or conjures up wonderful old memories,...more
