I grew up with gardening. My dad loved gardening so our yard was surrounded by flower beds, with a large vegetable garden and raspberry patch. This interest in plants continued through my college degrees (horticulture and plant pathology) and 30+ years working in the plant science field. In retirement, I’m combining my love of plants, photography and graphic design to create new designs all the time!
As you can imagine, after so many years working with plants, I’m very picky about the plants that I photograph and use in my designs! The majority of my photos are plants in my own garden but favorites from the UW Arboretum and Olbrich Botanical Gardens - outdoor gardens and their seasonal flower shows (in Madison), orchid shows and other wonderful gardens that I visit are also mixed in.
I hope you enjoy looking at my photographs and the kaleidoscopes I've created from some of them.
