I am a professional artist, born and educated (BA) in England, but now live and work in Andalucia, southern Spain.
I work to commission and inspiration.
I use all media but specialize in soft pastel and my style is figurative. I paint mainly landscapes and portraits and my subjects may be real or imaginary. I paint subjects to which I feel an emotional response and this I try to express in my paintings, whether their source is real or imagined, landscape or portrait.
Prior to 2002, my paintings were exhibited in various English galleries and included in many exhibitions.and published in The Millers Guide to Contemporary Art,
While working in Spain, my work has been published in newspapers, magazines and online articles in England and the USA
eg:
*'Artists & Illustrators' magazine. Paintings from my portfolio were selected to be included in their Summer (2017) and
Spring Gallery (2018);
* Artsyshark, included my work in an online feature on figurative art;
* PKA New York published several of my paintings in four editions of their bi-monthly publication about the arts.
Currently some of my work is with a gallery in central Barcelona and I am preparing for a one-man exhibition in 2020, as well as working on several commissioned pieces.
