Devon

Devon is a county of England, it is part of South West England, and it reaches from the Bristol Channel in the north to the English Channel in the south and has borders with Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. The county town is the City of Exeter and there are seven districts within the county; these are East Devon, Mid Devon, North Devon, South Hams, Teignbridge, Torridge and West Devon. The north and south coast of Devon have many seaside resorts, fishing towns and ports. Inland, there are the wide open spaces of Dartmoor and Exmoor. The climate of Devon is relatively mild, especially in the south and much of the economy is linked to tourism and agriculture.
