Human anatomy is stunning, from the fine details of a portrait to the flowing lines of the nude.   We have all evolved to become experts in observing people and as a result the human form has a special significance in our world.   I love to explore the organic human form in simple black and white, and am especially drawn to the way light and shadow effect our perceptions of surfaces and form.   Most of my work is in either graphite pencil or dry bush oil paint, as I like to work fast to capture the feeling I have for an image.
