Hello and Welcome  to, 'Mlcfineartphotography'.  My name is Mary Lou Chmura aka. 'Lou' for short.  
​
My passion for photography has been a lifelong passion; is immeasurable and resonates from a place deep within. 

Although, my passion for photography is immeasurable it is not my only passion by any means. 

Having struggled for a good part of my life with communication and effective ways to express my inner world.  I have developed  a repertoire, so to speak of creative and artistic modalities which I am extremely passionate about. My creative portal consists of photography, writing, drumming, drawing and most recently the art of public speaking. 

I also am inspired with collage, mixed media, the art of zentangles, and calligraphy.  In other words there is no shortage of creative interests as I find these are all ways to artistically express our innermost thoughts and feelings.

That being said, I find that using photography as my media gives me a vantage point; by simply directing my lens to the point of view I would like to express and focus on.  

Being mindfully aware of whatever draws me in; whether I am chasing the light, capturing a feeling or experiencing an emotional reaction, allows me to create a vision for my composition.   

As like many of my passions, I see photography as an art form of spiritual meditation; allowing my spirit to connect with the universe; the difference being the beauty of life unfolds through my lens.

It's the simplest acts of nature that we all take for granted that seem to draw me in; observing a small ray of light, or watching a flower as it gracefully unfolds to the morning sun, has a way of speaking to me on a soul level.'
