Having worked as a paperback romance illustrator for many years for publishing houses in both New York and Milan, Melissa brings a unique sense of grace and beauty to her digitally mastered oil paintings. Along with her fine art photography, she sells her paintings through prints and by commission.
Her work has been exhibited in various exhibits including the recent, highly prestigious Florida Biennial Sixth in Deland, Fl. Her painting, 'Ballerina' was chosen out of hundreds of submitted works to be printed on the brochure of the show, representing the best Florida artwork for 2011.
Melissa has written several articles on digital oil painting, including a recent tutorial for Professional Photographer Magazine on Corel Painter 12.
She is currently a contributing writer for marathonpress.com, a website that caters to the continuing education of professional photographers, and has given several webinars on digital oil painting and portraiture through them as well.
The mother of 5 wonderful children (now mostly grown), Melissa resides with her husband and family in Central Florida.
