I specialize in oil paintings, drawing and photography.   In both, I focus mainly on people as they are all unique and have their own idiosyncracies.   Through paint, I like the challenge of the face, from trying to bring out specific expressions, to playing around with the look of skin, hair and other facial fearures to make them look like they have volume.   When I started painting seriously about 7 years ago, I was mostly concerned with making something look as polished as possible, so that it could be mistaken for a photograph-I was also painting smaller scale.   Now, my...more
