My name is Joel E. Blyler. I am a self-taught Fine Art Landscape and Nature Photographer. My passion for photography and the outdoors, love of nature and attention to detail is generously reflected in my work. Although I am not a world renowned or nationally acclaimed artist, I am constantly striving to improve my work aspiring to one day achieve such recognition.
I am a native of Central Pennsylvania, true to my roots, and currently reside in my hometown of Millmont, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School in 1991 and entered into college at the Dubois campus of Penn State University, where I received my Associates degree in Wildlife Technology in May of 1994. For a brief eight year period (1995 to 2003), I was employed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer while also working full-time employment at various retail and manufacturing facilities. Currently, I work in manufacturing where I am employed by Playworld Systems in Lewisburg, PA. Playworld Systems provides quality playgrounds for children to enjoy worldwide.
Although photography isn't my full-time profession, I dedicate as much time to my photography as possible and focus on such subjects as streams and waterfalls, natural landscapes, wildlife, covered bridges, barns, churches, farm landscapes, Amish country, and various other personal interests.
