When I met my husband more than 20 years ago he was an architectural photographer and he taught me to see how the camera sees. He also photographed plants and his close up flowers showing all the bright colour and detail just blew me away. It took me some time before I was happy with my own images but now macro photography is something I especially love to do.
My photographic journey has led me to try many styles and techniques but underlying every photo is my love of colour. Mostly toning shades but also strong contrasts. Colour makes my world a richer place.
I'm still enjoying creating fine art for empty walls and my images are used on book covers worldwide. I also make paper weavings which make great abstract art and further feed my love of colour and texture. That started when some test prints on beautiful watercolour paper were lying around, too beautiful to throw away. I cut one into strips and experimented.
