He has been fascinated with its culture and traditions since he was a teenager in Taos, New Mexico, a place that influenced him with how strongly it emphasizes and values art and artists. Now the paintings of this fourth-generation New Mexican use vivid colors and dramatic compositions to tell the story of this area’s underlying sense of drama and history.
Jack’s paintings are in a contemporary realist style, usually focusing on southwestern themes, especially those related to regional culture and traditions.
