brief discussion about my work from my friend keith wiley:: 'I’ve had this theory since art school that anything that looks like text or suggests elements of a human or animal effects composition of an image. I call it pseudotext and pseudofeature. Animals have evolved to scan their environment for food, predators, prey and mates. They get a little dopamine or Adrenalin as a reward when they find something. People are also conditioned to scan a scene for text and read it in whatever way their culture demands. That’s why I like Heather’s stuff. It’s a good example of what I was up to. '
