Living in Cambridgeshire UK, most of my work is inspired by nature - birds, animals & flowers. My favourite mediums are coloured pencil and graphite and occasionally I dabble in acrylics. My goal in my artwork is realism, so I work from good quality reference photos. The finished product will only be as good as the reference photo. Achieving realism is a slow process that requires many layers of pencil, an 8 x 10 inch piece in coloured pencils will take 20 - 30 hours to complete, graphite is slightly faster. I have recently starting doing photography too, so I that I can take my own reference photos.
