Spontaneity and the freedom to express drives her passion to create. She finds inspiration in and all around her universe. Beena is an experimental visual artist. Her abstract expressions create a complete contemporary vision of art reviving our souls. Artistic gesture meets up with her poetic wish to express feelings without remorse and artifice. Her creative journey has greatly enriched her life and the community. It has been a means of self expression and has facilitated self discovery.
All kinds of media interests her including sculpting and upcycling, with no limits, than the emotion stemming from her imagination. The key themes of authenticity, hope and identity are recurrent in her art practice. An ink stain to landscapes and people inspire her to develop concepts. As an expat Indian, the arabesque ambience of Oman and the UAE initiated her to pursue her childhood zeal for art.
She exhibits her original works periodically, in galleries in the UAE and abroad. Her training has been built up over the years with practice and working alongside established artists residing in the UAE and overseas. Recipient of honourable awards, commissioned projects and her artworks appear in public and private collections worldwide including a recent acquisition by Chevron.
Beena is an Art Instructor, currently conducting workshops in 'Creative Watercolor' and 'Silk Painting' at the Dubai International Art Centre, Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE.
