All of my life I have been fascinated by the beauty of the world around us. Be it a sunrise, rainstorm, mountain valley, tropical beach, nesting bird or other wildlife, I see an interconnected play of light and life that never ceases to capture my deepest feelings. It is due to this captivation and wonder that I strive to bring my vision to my community through the medium of photography.
I have been an avid photographer for most of my life, as a child I always had my Kodak Instamatic camera in hand as I traveled around the country with my parents. When I started college in 1979 I got my first SLR, a Minolta, and continued to explore the medium. I am currently using a Canon 5D Mark III and processing primarily with Adobe Lightroom.
The mountains, rivers and deserts surrounding my home provide me with unlimited opportunities to pursue this creative expression. I enjoy traveling with my wife Teri and discovering new places to explore. Among our favorite destinations are the islands of Hawaii. The beauty that abounds there provides an exciting world for artistic discovery.
It is my desire to be able to communicate the awe and sense of wonder that the natural world inspires in me.
