Art has always played a role in my life.   As a child growing up in Falkner, Mississippi I loved the outdoors and playing in the creek and digging the clay out of the creekbanks and making pottery.   It was probably as a teenage in the '50's that I learned to use art as therapy.   This was the beginning of art therapy becoming a thread that carried me thoughout my life.   Fast forward, I obtain a BFA, M.Ed, and than my Ph.D with my dissertation in Art Therapy.   Art always leading me.   I obtained my LPC and LMFT in couseling and worked with abused...more
