I am a mainly self-taught artist currently living in Bangkok, Thailand.   I work in oil paint and favour bold colours and powerful brush strokes to create texture as well as visual interest.   I specialise in portrait painting and nudes, and take my inspiration from prominent contemporary portrait and figurative artists such as Lucien Freud, Tai-Shan Schierenberg, Egon Schiele and Jenny Saville.   My illustrations are mainly in ink with either pastel or watercolour highlights.   Most of my originals are for sale and I am open to commissions.
