Artists are not like athletes. We cannot win gold. We cannot ‘best’ other creatives. We cannot come first. Sport is objective. Our craft is subjective. Creating to ‘be the best’ is a waste of energy. Instead, we create to connect to the people who need us. Because they’re out there.

Create in your own way. Because there is not right way. Take the pressure off. Focus on your own unique brand of magic.

“When you buy something from an artist, you’re buying something more than an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of experiments and errors. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You’re buying a piece of heart, a piece of a soul... a small piece of someone else’s life. “

I am a self taught artist. Ever since my childhood, I had the desire to draw. I was drawing Spider-Man early in my life. Then I got into drawing Voltron and Transformers. Comics was and still is a big influence in my art. During my early teenage years on winter breaks from school or any snow days. I would draw, draw, draw away all day long. At that time I was big into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Learning from Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's books. When I entered my freshman year in high school, my portfolio had a huge impact on my art instructor. Needless to say, I was pretty much became her teacher's pet. During the summer, the school I attended to hosted a two week art program called Art Trek. During my last year of Art Trek, I helped reach other students how to draw comics. From the anatomy to fore shortening and dynamic poses.

After high school, I kept illustrating my own comics. Which then led to drawing photo realistic portraits with pencils for friends and family then eventually I started getting commission work for the portraits I did. During that time i picked up photography for myself. Capturing the elements of nature and her surroundings.

I eventually found work for a very small comic company called Area 613 comics. Where I helped co create and design characters and story layouts while still dipping my hands into other art mediums. Finding new love for Tombow brush markers and spray paint art. I am currently writing and drawing a children's book/ comic book on the side.

During my years of selling my original handcrafted art and photography, I maintain a low reasonable price mark ups on Fine Art America. How low? Averaging out about $5- $10 per print. I make little profit. I myself enjoy affordable art when I get the chance to purchase art. And thus in return I bring that to the table of affordable art.

Enjoy.
