My name is Jena Rayna Suits, and I grew up and currently reside in the Appalachian Mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Growing up in a farm-like setting I developed a true love for nature and animals. I began drawing at the age of 4 or 5, and considered myself to be an artist my entire life. After experimenting with different media throughout high school and winning many awards and competitions, colored pencils and oil paints became my favorites.
After attending college for a short time studying Art History, raising my son and daughter became a priority. But during that time I was able to enjoy city life living in Jacksonville, Florida. There I developed a love for the ocean, and was able to experience one of my other passions: Bengal Tigers. Those and some other big cats reside at a wildlife sanctuary I was able to visit there. These animals became inspirations for several pieces I produced as I began drawing again. I recently moved back to the Mountains and continue to work more every day.
My works are a combination of both country life and coastal living, with lots of beautiful nature and animals from both.
