Description
I named this owl Merlin after the wizard. Something I wanted to achieve with this painting was to bring your focus to the owl’s eyes, which to me seem to be saying, “I see you.” I purposely made the eyes and details in the area around the eyes sharp whereas the wings, body, and legs are painted in a softer focus (blurrier).
