Description
This image captures moody scene on Antelope Lake in Plumas County, California, USA. In my neck of the woods it is very common to get a cold snap just after Memorial Day. This period has come to be known as “Junuary” and it can make our lakes look very moody indeed as, by this time of year, the water has warmed significantly, making for some rather dramatic fog on the water in the early morning hour. I took this shot just as the sun broke through some low clouds and lit this little island on the lake nicely amid the low fog.
This image is also available in a color version processed in a softer/warmer manner.
