Nearness to nature is important for Norwegians. If you visit Norway you will sooner or later will be introduced to the term "G� p� tur" (literally translated: Go for a walk). It is established as an integrated part of our life. You might be surprised by the fact that we often have more focus on the walk itself than the destination. For Norwegians, going for a walk is considered a national sport, whether it's in the local park or up in the mountains. So even a very cold or a foggy or windy day you will find us outside walking. Maybe just because we can enjoy our coffee and couch duty with a good conscience later. I don't know. :-)
