Western Gull In Flight

Description
A western gull (Larus occidentalis) displays its beautiful plumage and majestic wingspan as it flies close by on a balmy sunny afternoon at Richardson Bay in Mill Valley, California near San Francisco.
I took this photo during a walk on a footbridge over a tributary in a marsh area during hot weather.
This is basically the way the image came from the camera without any cropping and with only minimal processing to conserve the natural colors and details.
The in-flight action of this bird happened so quickly that it was only after I started preparing this photo for presentation that I began to appreciate the scope of this gull's magnificent wingspan.
"So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:21, NKJV)
