Excellent work, Frank! I agree with every work that you say. I am reminded of the Parable Of The Sower. (Matthew 13:3-8), where only about a quarter of the seed that is sown broadcast survives, as it falls on fertile ground. Some falls on stony ground and perishes because it has no root, some falls by the wayside and is eaten up by the fowls of the air and some is choked by thorns - a kind of weed. You are spot on about the weeds being the distractions of the world, which keep us from fulfilling our spiritual potential. If we do not keep Jesus Christ at the centre of our lives, then we are in danger of being "choked by thorns".
