Description
Watercolor flowers with a batik flair. I used what is called the bleeding tissue paper technique to create this soft watercolor floral arrangement. A combination of a form of wet color transfer and watercoloring. The result is an organic soft design with notes of batik feel one normally finds in fabric designs. In this design I allowed the natural texture of the color transfer to dominate the design. I started the process by giving the background a soft blue and pink/purple treatment and placed the stronger contrasting colors in the flower petals. This organic process makes every piece unique.
