I always love when I find a Floral Photography object that I can beautifully isolate against an attractive background. One of my last pictures of this kind I found in Allston, neighborhood of Boston. I captured this beautiful Daffodil near the Charles River off Storrow Drive. The contrasting bright white with the yellow and white florals in the background stood out and instantly and drew me in. The daffodil floral that I actually made the main subject showed some real character and was lit by some indirect sunlight. I set up my tripod and camera and started composing around the orange flower with my Canon EF 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and Canon EOS D7 camera. The wind was a bit problematic but my persistence kept me shooting until I captured my vision. The camera aperture was set to f/4 that resulted in an exposure time of 1/100 second at ISO100 and provided the limited Depth of Field to blur out the other flowers in the background nicely. During post processing I minimally adjusted lighting, contrast and color saturation before sharpening this final floral photography image of "Walking Dreamer".
