Description
These silhouettes of barren trees against a softly hued sky at sunset began with a background surface of softly blended acrylics to create the underpainting. Using a selection of hand painted and found collage papers, I painstakingly collaged each a portion of the trees as well as a portion of the background. The result is a simply composed yet dynamic painting in soft hues with subtle texture and pattern. To create my collages, I use handpainted found papers- including musical sheets, sewing patterns, and gift tissues as well as book pages, shoe box inserts...literally anything!
I then digitized the image to create a netural effect.
