Mixed Media - Macro Abstract Digital Photo Painting

Description

This colorful abstract image is one of several macro photographs taken off of a candle holder. I was attracted by the lines and colors and had no idea if anything would come of it. I was pleased to find happy, celebratory images. I had a bright painted wine goblet once and the shapes in this reminds me of that glass, which, sadly, was broken.

In this version, I have done some digital painting and applied a palette knife application. The circular images at the bottom make me think of clocks. From that I think of New Years Eve and the stroke of midnight - an end and a beginning.

This image would make a nice greeting card for a birthday or anniversary, or even a party invitation. There is a version with text, too.

My greeting cards are 5" x 7" (folded) and include white-envelopes for mailing and/or gift giving. Each card is printed on 100-pound paper stock with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. Inside has a matte white finish and can be customized with up to 500 characters.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
