Description
"Tiger in the Light"
While stalking through the dense forest, a tiger comes across several shafts of light that have managed to cut through the jungle canopy. It raises its head and squints a bit as if feels the warm of the sun on its orange and black coat. Behind it the forest disappears into a misty darkness.
For anyone who watches my art tutorials on Youtube, you might have caught a glimpse of my cat Cyrus in the background. He pretty much hangs out in my office all day except a certain time of day when the sun comes through the window and creates a sunny spot on the floor in the next room. Inevitably, I can find him there, rolling around in the sun. So for this artwork, I wanted to depict a big cat with the same fascination with sunlight.
I made this using a variety of digital art technologies including CGI and painting.
Thanks for looking!

I'm glad to come across your work here. I especially like this tiger. You've brought out not only it's regal and beauty, but the beauty of its surroundings as well.

You've ennobled the beast with a romantic style implementing light from the golden hour. Beautiful image.

Very beautiful and I love how he is caught in the rays of the sun. Your background really sets him off too. Excellent work. L/F.
