Description
When I finished this one, I couldn't come up with a title for it.... so, given the three distinct vertical segments, and the half-circle, "Three, and a Half" seemed to work as well as anything. No matter what it's called, "Three, and a Half" is an abstract piece that started life as a simple photograph of a cross-section view of a weathered wooden fascia board on the base of the deck on my house. I liked the textures and shapes, so I set out on a rather lengthy series of digital edits and filters to build on those elements. Done in rich, warm jewel-tone colors, it has a painterly, textured look that's sort of a hybrid between traditional brush stokes and airbrushing. You can scroll over the image and use the loupe tool for an enlarged, high-resolution look at the textures.
"Three, and a Half" will glow set against a neutral wall, as a framed art print, on stretched canvas, or on acrylic for a sleek, contemporary look... and it works well on so many of the FAA/Pixels products. Check out all your options...
