Hi Marion...I like this image very much along with several others from your various galleries. You commented on my "Stairs in Santorini" which I appreciated and I thought I would check you out. In this image I like the composition with the wall taking center stage. Placement of the two figures at the bottom works well. What is surprising for me is the importance of the single white bird at one of the holes...this draws attention to the holes and gives an explanation as to what the holes are. Well constructed image and I look forward to seeing more of your work...Bob

Interesting wall..........those holes have my attention.!........................allen

Marion Galt replied:

Hi Allen, been puzzling about the holes myself - they were on the outside of the rampart walls, so unlikely to have supported walkways or the like..... still, the birds get good use from them.
