This is a rare and special photograph. I captured this moment where the Todd River, in Alice Springs began to flood in January 2015. That big dark cloud in the background opened up only a few moments later. I ended up running for my car, soaking wet, and Alice Springs roads became flooded. I was also lucky enough to get the flood, a road train, and the Stuart Highway all in the shot. The locals in Alice Springs say if you see the Todd River flow 3 times your a local...that is how rare it is to see.
