Jan,you didn't know I'm having "time out" for a while but I found your lovely comment and could not resist to peep at your new painting! Seems ages since I last visited though I do not forget your most beautiful works.I love that you called this "The Red Vase" and not "The Blue Irises "! It made me cover up the vase for a moment and then make it re-appear and as it did so,your gorgeous detailed flowers just radiated life and energy.Such a great contrast! And of course the blue and yellow on the vase just harmonizes it all to perfection. Also, the dance of light with sky blues and lemon and the deep purple shadows is such a lovely impressionistic setting. I love it all Jan! Exquisite in every way! v/f
