My first submitted painting titled 'The first Resurrection' looks at the state of the world left in fire and decay. In the bible the book of Revelation 20 v 5 says 'The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection'. The writer discusses how many people had died and the world had been judged for their life it has lived. I try to depict death, hurt, loss with the few remaining trees, and the earth turning to blood, and sky mourning the sun. What have we done to the earth?
