Archelons birthday is marked by his encounter with a large Theropod dinosaur.
The birth of Archelon has been 80 millon years in the making. Archelon was the worlds largest sea turtle to ever exist adults measureing 13 feet long and 16 feet from flipper to flipper,it was a soft shell turtle supported by a skeletal framework with a high-vaulted shell.estimated weight was 4900 lbs.
Archelon lived at a time when a shallow sea covered most of central North America. Most of the known remains have been found in South Dakota and Wyoming.
