Description
THE DANCE AT DUSK. We were trying to find Click, Texas, don't bother, it's no longer there. Much of the time my wife and I just jump in the car and drive with no destination in mind, she with her books and I w ith the camera bag, however this time it was different. On the map was a dot which represented Click, Texas. By the time we had driven that far, we were probably fifty miles in any direction from any town or habitation. We did pass a locked-up deer hunter's cabin which we would have had to spend the night in had the back tires dug any deeper through the thin layer of gravel into the mud beneath as we traversed the third low water crossing in front of us. My wife was oblivious to the sound and feel, but as the driver, I could feel that our back tires had pierced the 'gravel crust'. There was no cell phone coverage, no help, no tractor, no rancher and no sign of life as I mentioned for fifty miles in any direction. We were so close to being desperately and dangerously stranded.

So glad you like this one. I don't think it has gotten much attention. I could see it , like you, plain as day.

Well, I had to giggle to myself, as the first thing I saw in my mind was that tree, dancing with the windmill! Great title, and capture!

Fun image. I like it when an image just takes on a content or meaning that isn't obvious on the surface initially.

Thats why we have a Wilson Antenna and amplifier, only one place we ever found no cellphone or Internet Connection, and that was in a Deep Valley 5 miles NW from Yosemite. Normally if within 75 miles from any tower we have a connection... Never found a place in TX, where we could not connect. As we travel full time in an RV, that is important to us, many times camping in BLM or National Forests. Love the "fence posts" and this time of day is my favorite.

If you travel through Texas, and come near the Hill Country area - about 28 counties around San Antonio, please contact me. I would enjoy meeting both of you I'm sure.
