Description
This image of the Texas State Capitol, in Austin, was taken from Northern Congressional Avenue across 11th Street just after sundown.
The Capitol was modeled after the national Capitol in Washington D. C. and is made of red granite quarried in Texas. Many of the architectural features of this beautiful building are visible in this image.
The Goddess of Liberty (possibly modeled after Greek Goddess Athena), which stands atop the Capitol, is a replica made of aluminum to replace the original white bronze casting and holds a single star in one hand and a sword in the other.
This image does not have a model or property release.
