Had a photo of these mountains I took years ago but felt it lacked something. So decided to add these birch trees in a Digital painting, and it seems to have "made" it hundreds of times better. Birch is a hardwood tree in a family of alders, hazels, and is related to the beech/oak family,

They are a short-lived pioneer species widespread in the Northern Hemisphere, particularly in northern climates.
